Kathy is passionate and committed to helping people of all ages experiencing mental health problems learn how to live successful lives despite the diagnosis. Kathy encourages all of her clients to develop specific therapeutic goals of what they want to to achieve and then collaborates effectively with them to meet or surpass expectations. Kathy utilizes different therapy modalities, including but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Kathy enjoys working with children and has experience with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, depression and anxiety. It is important to remember counseling is a journey and Kathy believes in walking beside each person in supportive and non-judgmental ways. Kathy previously taught school and has led workshops on topics such as support for caregivers, anxiety and depression.
